Assessment:  This 1871 Buffalo Classic Rifle fires a 45/70 Government round which was used extensively in American history and the opening of the American West.  In the wake of the popular film “Quigley Down Under” there has been a resurgence of interest regarding long range in general. Several manufacturers now produce replicas, most of them custom built rifles that entail not only a waiting period but also significant expense.”. This 1871 Buffalo Classic Rifle fires a 45/70 Government round. It has a heavy 32” round barrel.  Should one replace the Wilson Adjustable Peep sight with a Smith Enterprise Buffalo Classic Buckhorn Rear Ladder Sight the rifle would be SASS legal for any long-range match. This is a very nice-looking rifle in about Excellent condition with 99% of its original finish remaining. The bore is bright. It is clear that the rifle hasn’t been used much and is in great mechanical condition. This is a great rifle for use in BPCR matches and in SASS long range rifle side events. The gun balances well, and it is not too heavy or cumbersome if you want to take it out on your next hunting trip either.

$575 + Shipping which includes the aforementioned Smith Ladder Sight (which will not be sold seperately). - 1st I'll take it will get it
