C Sharps " Old Reliable" New Price $1750

For sale :   The Original C Sharps : Old Reliable" New Model 1875 Sporting Rifle.

Built in 1988 in Big Timber ,this gun with Serial No.  2600 comes with the original paperwork.

The rifle has a heavy ,tapered 26 inch octagonal barrel chambered in .45-70 (stamped .45- 2 1/10 )

It has a rear buckhorn sight with a purple patina that flips up ,and , a rear tang sight that is graduated to " 4 " ,probably a mid-range sight . The front sight is a hooded pin .

Flawless color case hardening on the receiver with nicely grained stock. The forearm is the Schnabel design. Butt plate is also CCH with checkering.

No, this rifle is chambered for the .45-70 ,hence the 2 1/10 markings.

The .45-110 brass is 2 7/8 ".

If I didn't have a C. Sharps I would buy.  You can't beat the workmanship on them.. Mine with 75 year old eyes, MVA Long Range, full case Swiss will do 3" at 200 yards, over 200 yards my eyes are so bad that every thing but me goes south.  This is one heck of a buy!!!
