You should know my posting habits well enough by now to know that I'd never start a tread with something that blatantly political. I might make political comments on a thread that started that way, though. It was amazing how quickly the tune and words came back as if it was just yesterday I had heard them. As one of my brothers put it, "We played that 78 a zillion times."

Utah Bob #35998
Burl was a very talented guy. He started as a singer and branched out into acting, radio, movies and Broadway. I remember listening to his records as a youngster. And he made a great movie bad guy.
Blackwater 53393
I was at the Deka Records recording studio in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee in the early seventies when he was recording an album. The place was called Bradley’s Barn and was famous for its sound and the luxury accommodations on the property. He was a great guy!
