When we started SASS...

Recommended Posts

When we started SASS...we were considered 'the young' ones.

We were in our early 40's.

Those 20+ were kids!!!

Shanley and I spoke about the age of our close friends...and majority are 10 years older!!

Made me question...

We are 58...how many SASS members do we have in a 10yr range of our age???

Not even within 2+ decades any more.  My original SASS membership card show I joined in May , 1994.  Had one six month break when I ended up in a job that took all of my time and all I could borrow.

I'll be 67 the end of the month and Ellie will be 66 in October. Definitly not feeling quite so young anymore, but CAS gives a lot of fun. Used to be the motorcycle, but bad shoulder has cramped that along with Ellie's shingles in her left thigh for the last 14 years. Just gotta keep :)!

I'm still hobbling around.  I think I joined back in the 90s.  That was the stone age for some.

I was not stoned in the 90s.

Drunk, yes. Stoned, no. :P

Especially when we wake up in the morning. "What the heck did I do that yesterday, it didn't hurt when I went to bed!"

(Beats the 15 bags the prior year...we had not done it while dad was living)

We did "Green Up Day" Saturday. Climbing up and down the bank along our road frontage, about 3/4 of a mile. It's amazing how my legs and knees still feel! Also amazing how far litterbug scums can throw a beer can! Fully concur with the raking deal!

Good on ya!!!

Yup...I was amazed to see someone was tossing their butts in my yard.

Thank God they were 'pinched'...but still scary.

I am sure they were tossed in the snow...but still.

I actually feel better, less achey while up there...bet I'll lose weight too!!@

I'm in Geezerhood, 20 years your senior Sue!

So show a little respect!

(Not what I get from my hunting partners!  Well, I guess that's what I do get from them: Little Respect!)
