Swapping Pietta Parts

Yep -- Just like Rafe said.

I have over a dozen Pietta 1860 Armies.

They all wear Pietta Navy grips.

Some from Steel-framed guns.

Some from Brass-framed guns.

Some new, some old.

As long as they are made by Pietta, they just screw right on.

No gunsmithing required

That's been my experience

Bullet, you have to swap the entire grip frame assembly. Trigger guard backstrap and grips. Yeah I have done it when my hands got bad , not hard but very pricey if you don't have the parts.

There's always folks out there who like the opposite of what you do (Army vs. Navy).  An add in the Classifieds may well find someone who wants to swap with you.

PLUS ONE to Prairie Dawg and Abilene.

I shoot about a dozen Pietta 1851s.  They all wear 1860 Grips.  You'll never guess with whom I traded Navy Grips for Army Grips.

FORGOT:  Yes you can swap between Pietta Navy and Army Grip "SETS"   Be sure to swap for Trigger Guard, Back Strap AND Wood that were on a gun together.  Much better/easier fit.
