Man's ability to fly. Without that , everything else pales in comparison. 

 

Of course my view is tainted, as I am a retired aerospace engineer and worked in that industry all of my adult life.

the assembly line. the biggest contributor to mechanization, automation, and making products accessible to all.

 

Shoutout to the internet, which brings those assembly line products straight to your couch and connects us with our loved ones near and far.

The thermos. In the summer my wife puts ice tea in it and it keeps the tea cool all day long. In the winter time she puts hot soup in it and it keeps the soup hot all day long. How doit know?

Moving picture: movies, TV, and animation.

 

I say this specifically studying psychology and religion studies. We teach and learn the most through narrative and teleology.

 

Moving pictures are the most powerful medium for narrative we’ve ever experienced.

Interesting take on it.  I  had never considered that aspect.   Thanks.

 

 

Ove been thinking about this since 5 this morning and am still not sure what to answer.  Flight,  electronics- including computers,  modern medicine,  the assembly line, they all have something to recommend them for the top spot.
