I'm just surprised you folks have a donut shop up there.

The Dunkin closed up about 15 years ago. But the grocery has a fine bakery.

Until I blew this up really really big, this part look like a yellowish cream. Yellow cream inside pastry with chocolate on top - Boston cream pie. :P

my grandpop would eat cookies with a fork and knife. When he'd get a hard one, youd just hear a 'CRACK' as the knife slammed into the plate. I asked him once why he didnt just pick up the cookie and bite into it like a normal human and he said "what, and dirty my hands?"

But he was an almond farmer, his hands were always dirty.

I don't know if the world's ready for that again, Bob.

I can relate,UB. After I got my second covid shot, I went ahead and bought a box of chocolate iced cream sticks that were in the Giant Eagle entrance area when I walked in. They just kept calling my name, I couldn't resist. They were good, too! Shared them with my wife when I got home. Took us almost 5 days to eliminate them, the last few were really messy by then, but they were SOOOOOOOOo good!:lol::blush:

I read an old book written in the 1880's.

It was called "The Buster", cowboy exploits and busting broncs. One of the ranch women cooked up a batch of "fried holes". After some homework I found out they were "donuts".

I suppose this one will rate up there with the all time greats!!  J. Mark Flint dropped by the other day with a dozen assorted premium donuts.  Among them was this maple glazed donut topped with real bacon bits!!

I threw caution to the wind once..........unfortunately, I was facing into the wind. It hurt like a son of a gun when it hit me coming back.

Do you freeze them? A frozen Snickers is much better than a regular Snickers.
