32 H&R Magnum ?

I keep thinking there is a 32 round interchangeable with the 32 H&R mag. I just cant remember. Is there such a beast?

In a revolver you can shoot 32 S&W, 32 S&W longs and 32 H&R. 32 ACP can be fired as well, extraction maybe more trouble. In a rifle you would pretty much be stuck at one length for it to feed well.

I have run 32 S&W longs in the Marlin rifle - shorts don't feed well though.

Aint there one more caliber?  327 mag?  Maybe that's not what you're talking about because you can't shoot a 327 in 32 H&R, but you can shoot 32 H&R in a revolver chambered in 327 mag.

No where close other than bullet diameter. 32-20 is a longer, tapered case developed for the Winchester 73. 32 H&R on top, 32 wcf (32-20) on bottom.

I always thought the 32-20 was a rifle round.  I guess it's short enough to be either.  Pictured below from left to right is:

32 ACP, 32 Short Colt, 32 S&W, 32 S&WL, 32 H&R Mag, 327 federal, and the 32-20. 

 

I bet it's comparable to the 30 carbine.
