My best friend had one.
He outshot his buddies on the OSU Rifle Team with it.
They had Anschutz rifles and Eley practice ammo.
He had the 39A with CCI Mini Mags.
They were good as their word, they bought the beer!

I do wonder if Ruger will have Marlin release this gun again?

Years ago I kept passing up on Marlin 39A’s and Winchester 9422’s because “I will get around to getting one later.” Well, it’s later and none are available new in the box unless you want to pay dearly for them. I guess I should quit bellyaching. If I really want one they are attainable...I just do not want to pay that high for them.

I have debated on just buying one of the nicer Henry’s.

If you ask Widder real nice and catch him in a good mood, he can coach you on slicking up your own Henry .22.

If I can do it, anyone can!

(Thanks again Widder!  :))

+1.  He was super helpful when I needed direction on how to do it.  Turns out it’s pretty easy to short stroke.  Can’t get the Henry quite as smooth as my remlin.

I suspect that Ruger will not reproduce the 39A. Such a shame, because the platform is a solid one.

I guess they just haven't found the price point/value level to make a buck. With all the "tactical" hardware,

lever guns are not a big ticket item in the LGS.

Your logic is sound, but I hope you’re wrong.

I had decided a couple of years ago that if I ever see one of these in a gun store I will probably buy it. It’s a bit gawdy and definitely not my usual taste in firearms, but there is just something about it that I like.

The Henry American Eagle.22

This Small Game Carbine also interests me. (the lower picture)
