Charlie Harley, #14153
several saloon folks have talked about using flight tracking software to keep track of airplanes. My niece is flying a general aviation aircraft to Knoxville today. I have her call sign and the plane is equipped with ADSB. what would be the best package for me to keep track of her? Most of what I am seeing our basic apps used to track commercial aircraft flights.
Ozark Shark
https://flightaware.com/ will let you track by tail number. I've used it to track friends flying in.

John Ruth
Flightaware is the best spot that i've used, HOWEVER, will only track a flight that has communications with ATC. General aviation doesn't require that to be the case so if she, or the pilot if she's not flying herself, doesn't have a flight plan filed you likely won't find them there. ADSB is new since I started flying and am unfamiliar with it, that may be your best bet if you have the ADSB identifier of the plane.
