Breckenridge Elkins, SASS# 71234
These used to be a lot more common to find. Now? Hehe. Well, the title says it all. I want to buy an 1895 Nagant Revolver. Single Action. I have a C&R FFL, so that's not a problem. If anyone's got one laying around they want to get rid of, I'm happy to oblige. We can talk price offline. I know the days of the $85 Nagants are in the past. Please email me with any particulars: tparmele@gmail.com
Nickel City Dude
It is a bad idea to put your email address in a WTB add. Bad people surf web forums like ours looking for this. Then they search the web and find a picture of what you are looking for and send it to you like they have it for sale. Once you send the money you never hear from them again. At least with a PM you stand a chance of knowing if they have a presence on the forum and can see how long they have been a member. Just my two cents. DeaconKC
Yes, there were Nagants made as just single actions.
McCandless
It's not hard at all to disable the double-action and make it single action only. (Videos online, search utube). This way you can convert the more common, and cheaper double.
SGT. QUINCANNON, SASS #32999
Believe that the SA version was intended for issue to NCOs, and the DA version was for officers, but once WWI began, the double action became standard for everyone. Cannot swear to the veracity of this story.
