Navy Arms New Model Russian with a different rear sight

I have a couple Navy Arms S&W No 3 Ubertis but neither have a rear sight like this one.  Anyone ever hear of someone modifying their S&W clones this way?

Also, will this prevent me from shooting this at a match?  Looks adjustable to me.

The Beretta “Laramie” rear latch with the adjustable rear sight may be replaced with the rear latch (with fixed sight) from the “Russian” Model to be allowed as a fixed sight model revolver.

SHB p.35

The model pictured appears to have an adjustable rear sight like the "Laramie", which may be used in all Age Based cats and BW...but is not legal for any category requiring fixed sight revolvers (e.g. Duelist, Gunfighter, and the BP categories)

The top latches/sights are apparently  interchangeable on some of the Uberti S&W No. 3 models.

i’ve never seen a laramie before, so their latches aren’t schofield pattern?

I loosened the screw and the sight notch isn’t wide enough for the plate to move left or right

Is the notch plate adjustable for elevation (i.e. up & down), or is it simply replaceable?

looks like the screw just keeps it in place... let me get a closer picture

No, the Laramie is a "target" model NM3...not a Schofield variation.

This one has had the adjustable sight replaced per the SHB allowance:

now i’m wondering if i can just silver solder this in place... remove the possibility of it looking adjustable.

thanks Pale Wolf.

If it's not truly adjustable (up/down/left/right), IMO, it would be considered FIXED (legal in ALL categories).

Solder or Loctite would keep from loosening or losing that screw.
