Four-Eyed Buck,SASS #14795
Nasty stuff, UB. Prayers for yours. My parent's both had a form of Parkinsons. Dad couldn't take the meds for it, the end was really brutal. Mom could handle the meds, but eventually dementia set in. She lasted about 5 years after Dad. Forty Rod SASS 3935
My mom died of Alzheimers. It's a tough one, my friend. Know that you have lot of friends who are praying for you and your family, and if you need anything send out a call. Try to emulate Job and put your heart in the hands of God. Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381
Alzheimer's disease is a sad, relentless neurologic disorder. I feel your pain. In case it crossed your mind, genetic testing generally isn't recommended for a routine Alzheimer's disease evaluation. The exception is people who have a family history of early-onset Alzheimer's disease, which is very strongly linked to your genes (age at onset < 65 years) . I'm happy your sister has a stable environment.
