Need Gunsmith-Who?

Slip Hammer Yates 8456

I am wanting to have a cylinder made in 44/40 and fitted to my model 29 Smith and Wesson.  Is there any gunsmith out there that does this?

I think your best bet would be to find a 357 or 41 mag cylinder from another 'N' frame Smith and have it reamed to 44wcf.

Here's a 10mm Stainless. https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/412310000

This one is for a Model 657 I believe, a 41 mag. https://cylinder-slide.com/Item/211610000

Here's a bargain, a Model 27 357 blued. https://www.ebay.com/c/2112700203

Obviously you would want to find out the OA length for compatibility.

You might check on GB for a 544.I wanted to put a 44 spec cyl on my 544 but never figured out which cyl.

Hamilton Bowen would be fantastic.

I'd also trust that Oglesby Gun Works near Springfield IL could do this work. Pretty close by.   (217) 487-7100

good luck, GJ

I just realized it was a gumsmith I was looking for.

Thank you for all the suggestions.  I had some work done a long time ago by Oglesby.  I am nearSpringfield so I will call them. I did call Bowen Classic Arms but they don't do this work anymore.
