.32 Colt Brass

I have a pocket pistol that is chambered in .32 Colt long not .32 S&W short or long, they don't fit.  It could have started out as a rem fire, converted to .32 Colt early in it's life.  Is there some where I can get some .32 Colt brass?  Would like 10-20 pieces to do a display under glass with the gun.  I wouldn't shot the gun as it is just way to cheap made.  Good nickel on one side with punch engraved and pearls, left side has blood pitting so not even fair.

.32 Colt brass is extremely hard to find. There are some being offered on GunBroker but they are not cheap.

Tenmile sells reformed brass that will work in .32 Long Colt. I think it's 20 pieces for $20 plus shipping, which is cheap from what I have seen. He also sells heeled bullets.

Buffalo Arms sells a box of 50 loaded with black powder for 87 bucks.

They also have a listing for brass at 89 cents per.   It's made from something else according to the listing,

Good luck.

I don't need loaded rounds, but want the .32 Colt head stamp on the brass.  Will put a primer in 2 or3 with bullets in the case, no powder, a very old Dupont FFFg can empty and a hand loading set from late 1890's early 1900.  This is just for my enjoyment not a public display, all though, I would loan it out for display.

Your best bet is to watch Gunbroker for original brass. I found a handful at a gunshow in a odd-lot box of junk. .32 Colt is one of those rare forgotten cartridges that time has left behind. Good luck.

I have a partial box of Remington 32 Colt somewhere. IIRC there were 5 or 6 loaded rounds and maybe some spent brass. I'll have to see if I can find them, no promises.

.32 short Colt is still made.  Virtually all "pocket" pistols chambered for the Colt round were in .32 short Colt.  There are thousands of them so a run of ammo is made now and then.

My 32 NP measure .910. Book shows 32 Colt Long at .92

The 32 S&W/NP is to large in diameter. They can't be resized to .32 Colt without lathe work.

Then it could be .32 Long.  Most people do not consider the Police Positive to be a pocket pistol.  Kinda hard to tell since these rounds used heeled bullets and the cylinders are bored straight through.

S&W short and long will not chamber.  No serial number or build number.  I have had it down to pieces and can't find any markings on any part.  From the few Colts I have seen apart insides not the same.

I recommend posting photos of it on the Coltforum.
