That an AR15 is a high Velocity high capacity automatic weapon that can shoot bullets as fast as 2000 feet per minute?

I learn a lot from experts on CNN

I’m pretty sure I could dodge a 200O ft per minute bullet. Even at my age.

Several track athletes are capable of outrunning those bullets.

" Some of these bullets, as you saw, have an incendiary device on the tip of it, which is a heat seeking device. So, you don't shoot deer with a bullet that size. If you do you could cook it at the same time." - Patricia Eddington

"Well, you know, my shotgun will do better for you than your AR-15, because you want to keep someone away from your house, just fire the shotgun through the door." - Joe Biden

"This is a ghost gun. This right here has the ability with a .30-caliber clip to disperse with 30 bullets within half a second. Thirty magazine clip in half a second." - Kevin de Leon

"The Second Amendment only protects the people who want all the guns they can have. The rest of us, we've got no Second Amendment. What are we supposed to do?" - Louise Slaughter

"What's the efficacy of banning these magazine clips? I will tell you... these are ammunition, they're bullets. So the people who have those now, they're going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won't be any more available." - Diana DeGette

"Well, if it can fire a lot of bullets very quickly, that's a good definition... And then you can argue what a lot is, okay, let's say three. If you haven't hit the deer with three shots, you're a pretty lousy shot, that deer deserves to get away." - Michael Bloomberg

"We lose 93 million Americans a day to gun violence." - Terry McAuliffe

"We have federal regulations and state laws that prohibit hunting ducks with more than three rounds. And yet it's legal to hunt humans with 15-round, 30-round, even 150-round magazines." - Dianne Feinstein

"...it is easier for a 12- or 13-year-old to purchase a gun, and cheaper, than it is for them to get a book." - Barack Obama

The .223 round, commonly found in the much feared AR15, is not a legal hunting caliber for deer in the state of Colorado: not a powerful enough round.

All humor aside, these are the people that vote for gun control.
These are the same people who brought CA (and maybe the other) states to no internet ammo sales, 30-day waiting periods, full gun registration and no private sales...

I believe that most of us would agree that child pornography is a bad thing.

(I dislike when people start their little rants with "we all agree", because we don't all agree on anything.)

So we need to cut down on child pornography. How can we go about that? First we have to think about how the child pornographers do it.

They take pictures. CAMERA

They take video. VIDEO CAMERA

They play these videos VHS, DVD PLAYER, BLU-RAY and watch them on their television. TELEVISION SETS

They watch them on their computers COMPUTER, and on their smart phones CELLULAR PHONE, and trade them with each other over the internet. INTERNET ACCESS

Obviously the thing to do is to restrict access to these things for people that are criminals.

Whenever anyone attempts to buy a camera, or a video camera, or a vcr, or a DVD or Blu-ray player, or a television set, or a computer, or a cell phone, or get internet access, they must first fill out a yellow sheet giving their name and address and date of birth and place of birth and Country of citizenship and social security number. Then they answer 20 or so questions yes or no. On the back of this sheet the sales clerk will lift the item type, who made it, the memory (if applicable) and the serial number. Then they will call the prospective buyer in to see if he has any sort of criminal record.

This makes much more sense than doing a background check on gun buyers.

It's for the children.

I won’t say what comes immediately to mind here!!  I just won’t do it.

I would be sent to time out or permanently kicked off and I would certainly insult and offend certain folks who read the things that posted here.

I just erased a reply to a previous post. It was a good reply.   I personally don’t care that it would offend the person I was replying to, but hopefully, I’ll get to continue posting here and maybe sway some citizen from helping to elect the idiots mentioned in some of the previous posts in this thread!!

I have voted many times for a candidate who was distasteful to me to prevent another candidate that I knew was going to attack my rights and way of living from obtaining the position and power to do so!!

I'm right there with you.

I've never voted for a candidate for President.

Voted against a bunch, but never for one.

I'd really like to see the time when I could vote FOR a candidate rather than AGAINST one.

The only one I recall in my voting lifetime was Ronald Reagan....twice.

3,600 rounds per minute - pretty awesome for something that is cosmetically similar to an M-16

Amazing even if you consider that the M-134 Mini-gun also shoots .30 bullets.  Even more amazing when you consider that the M-134 Mini-Gun has 6 rotating barrels and is powered by a car battery so that it can only fire 25 rounds within a half second using all six of its rotating barrels.   When 12 year old kids can buy such a weapon that shoots 3,600 rounds per minute using one single barrel - and do so for less cost than "a book" - its no wonder than guns are killing 93 million americans every day.

...well, either we are well and truly screwed or democratic gun grabbers AND the people that keep them in office are idiots for tolerating such intentional social malfeasance and a demonstrated willingness to LIE.  Very few things worse than lying liars and the lies they lie about - except maybe the empty bags of guts that empower those lying liars and the lies they tell

and if that is offensive then I'm glad I didnt post the rest of what I was thinking when I clicked on the 'submit reply' button

And this is the rhetoric that the American populace is subjected too. Yet the NRA and other gun rights groups seem to be unable to figure out how to respond. Where are the rebuttals to this ignorance!? On the Sportsman’s Channel and gun magazines. Brilliant.  Preaching to the choir is pointless!

:D  a Saiga 12 with a 5+1 round magazine, shooting 1 1/8Oz payload of #9 shot will send out approximately 3948 "rounds" by the time the magazine is empty...

An Uncle Joe special with the same load, could probably get 60 shells off in a minute from a masochistic cowboy??? so that's 39,487ish "bullets" per minute!  :D

Buy a Shotgun, Buy a shotgun :D

And that right there is the problem. Every time there is a candidate that I actually like, who I disagree with on maybe a couple small issues but mostly am in lockstep with, they never make it past the primaries.

Then there is the polls. Polls are useless indicators of success, as has been proven several times now. You never actually know who is going to be in the actual election until everything is counted. Biden was WAY behind in the primaries according to the polls. Trump was WAY behind Hilary in the general election. And yet those polls get trotted out as if they were Holy Writ by the media, negatively influencing people who would otherwise be going to vote for the "losing" candidate.  Sorry for venting.

Howdy,

A lot of folks repeat nonsense.

They just dont think about how silly it is.

One friend of mine repeated many times how the communists have

this terrific gun that shoots our ammunition as well as theirs.

After hearing this for years I asked him what gun this is and how

I want one since it would shoot lots of ammo.

He tired of me repeating my offer every time he told that story.

I havent seen him lately.

I think he moved to where ever his third wife is from

Makes it easier for them to use him as their ATM with feet.

Best

I voted for Barry Goldwater and was totally astounded when he lost.  I could not believe that any thinking person did not vote for him.  This is when I realized that politics was a sham.

The only good thing is that I now continue to vote for the best candidate with the realization that he probably will not win and if he does he will be a  disappointment.

It is very hard to give a rebuttal when the media will not allow them to do so. Freedom of the Press is also freedom not to tell the whole story and that happens a lot, unfortunately.

I've had "educated" people that are actually gun owners explain to me how "AR15 assault rifles" fires so fast that it has 2 and 3 rounds in the barrel at the same time...

AKs arent as fast, but you can only buy them in Russia - the ones you get here are only replicas

not all gun owners are "pro gun"
