1898 National Firearms By Marlin Shotgun

Recommended Posts

(National Firearms was a brand name used by H&D Folsom of NYC, made by Marlin before WWI)

Basically a Marlin 1898 pump action shot gun, this is a takedown model

appears to have been refinished at one time

left side of fore end is cracked

right side of stock also has a small crack

buttplate does not fit perfectly

30 " barrel with full choke

bore is bright with minor pitting

missing a screw on the bolt

1 screw on action is" Buggered"

serial numbers & barrel serial number do not match receiver

tip of firing pin is broke

Passes all 4 safety checks as outlined in marauder"s article on the early Marlin pump shotguns

it is very likely this shotgun could function correctly if a new firing pin was installed

However I am selling it as a WALL HANGER

will have to be shipped to an FFL as I do not know actual date of manufacture

looking for $200 plus shipping to your FFL...................................................thanks Sps

I am sure I have spare screws for the bolt. Not sure about the firing pin, maybe. Shoot me a PM if you are interested and I'll check.
