SGT. QUINCANNON, SASS #32999
Just heard of the passing of Henry Darrow, Manolito Montoya from High Chaparral, at age 87. Always liked that character.

Birdgun Quail, SASS #63663
High Chaparral was my dad's favorite TV Western. Was filmed here in Old Tucson...that's now out of business because of the COVID-19. RIP & Godspeed Mr. Darrow.
DocWard
I was just reading an interview with him the other day, but it didn't mention his passing. Very sorry to hear. Certainly my favorite western growing up. Vaya con Dios, Mano.

SGT. QUINCANNON, SASS #32999
Great photo. Captures the essence of his personality, the impishness and mischief.
Buffalo Creek Law Dog
My wife and I are watching The High Chaparral series now, we finished the color version of Gunsmoke and are on the last disc of the High Chaparral when I saw that Mr. Darrow had passed on. He was my favorite character on that series. It seems that he always saved the Cannons a$$ from either the Apache, Comancheros or just about any situation that the Cannons got themselves into. Cholla
Of all the characters on the show, he was the most believable and enjoyable. He was quite active on Facebook for awhile. I am lucky enough to have an autographed photo of him as Mano.
Capt. James H. Callahan
Sad news. One of my favorite westerns as well. Just the theme music made you wanna ride Hell bent for leather and pick a fight with some Apaches. Mano and Buck were my favorites. JHC
