Winchester Hotchkiss Sporting Rifle

Something you don't see everyday; a Hotchkiss Sporting Rifle in 45-70 with 26 inch barrel.  This old gal is solid and in very good condition for her 140 years.  The barrel still has about 50% of the original bluing, as does the receiver.  The barrel does have some very minor superficial pitting.  The bore is very good with strong rifling and only very minor pitting inside.  The magazine functions correctly as does the cut off.  The cut off plate is missing an exterior screw.  The stock does have a couple small dents and the usual crack between the magazine cutoff and the tang.  I have fired this gun but not enough to zero it in.  She functions as intended.  Goes for $1450 shipped.
