Howdy,

Due to current meds Im limited on alkeyhaul but have the OK

So what Irish adult beverage would yaall recommend?

There are a couple well stocked beverage stores nearby and I have

the ever popular gummint check I guess.....

Should I go fer whiskey or that stuff pards enjoy addin to coffee?

And I guess a really great mixxed drink could be good.....

But make it a goodun cause ONE is the limit and I dont want to push it.

Jamison’s or Powers Gold Label (recently re-introdruced), or if wanting to sip a small amount of the more expensive stuff, Redbreast is a fine choice.

Michaleen Oge Flynn would approve!

Guinness draught is my choice.  It's smooth and creamy with a mild taste (it has nito for a gas rather than CO2).  The Guinness extra stout is also good, but is normally not for novice beer drinkers because of its strong taste.  Guinness draught is even better when enjoyed in a pub in Ireland.

Bailey's is good, ain't no doubt about that. But they are proud of it. About 5 years ago I was looking to buy some, and it was $19 a fifth. So I tried this stuff. It was $11 a fifth. I couldn't tell the difference.

At Fandango several years back J. Mark pour me a drink. I told him I did not drink. He told me that we were not drinking. We were toasting Gunny Sackett. He poured me a shot of The Tyrconnel. It was quite good.

I do believe I have a couple of bottles of Guinness left in my fridge. That’s all I have to add.

Teeling, West Cork, Clontarf, and Red Breast are all smooth as a fair coleen’s kiss.  If the weather should turn unseasonably warm, then Guinness of course.

My favorite was Irish Mist.  A cross between a liquor and a whisky.  Closest I can describe it is Bailey's without the cream.

Whole lot of Irish Whiskey being posted here.  I thought Whiskey was american and Whisky was Irish.

It is generally spelled “whiskey”—with an e—in the United States and Ireland. It is spelled “whisky”—without the e—in Scotland and Canada

There's my problem.  I'm always confusing scotland and ireland.

I've ticked off a lot of irish and scots like that over the years.

I second the Tulamore Dew.  Super low price, but still tasty and very smooth for sipping.

Howdy Utah Bob,

What is the name of that black handle knife at the very bottom of the picture

of Black Barrel Jameson?

I tried to message you but got a no message message.

This year Badger Knife show is postponed so this will sort of make up for it.

Back in college it was traditional to blow yourself up with a 'hand grenade' to kick off st pattys day.

tall glass of stout (guinness preferable). Two shotglasses wedged into the top of the glass - one full of baileys, another full of Jameson.

Pull the pin (the shot of Jameson) and the baileys drops into the beer, starting the ticking clock. You see, when cream hits something acidic like a stout, it curdles within about 20 seconds.

Shoot the Jameson - then chug the stout before it curdles the baileys (and blows up your stomach).

Do not try this at home. Unless you're 18 and made of kevlar.
