Very nice! I know nothing about these but sure are neat looking!

Best modern BP cap’n ball revolvers you can use. Designed as hunting pistols and can take a full 45 grains of BP or substitute. An absolute blast to shoot.

here they are in action

The blued one isn't "correct" - even though it has a fixed rear sight, it has the ramp front sight of an adjustable sight model, disqualifying it from fixed sight categories. Was it rebarreled, or did someone remove the original blade and install the ramp style sight?

Small problem...Just take off 3 inches off the barrel...Done....

File the front sight so it isn't a ramp type and you are good to go. Easier than replacing it.

That would involve a lot of filing to turn it into a "simple blade", as prescribed for a fixed sight revolver, and since the base isn't set into a groove or slot, it would simply be perched on top of the barrel with nothing holding it on by the time it was narrowed that much. I suppose it could be removed, the barrel slotted, and a blade soldered on.

I agree, too much work. Better to just dovetail it and put on a blade sight.
