Chili Ron
Howdy, Out on ebay there are fellas offering imitation stag grips for various including 1911 style and others. Priced around $50 or so. Has anyone bought or seen these in person? They look darn good in photos but might not in person. Real stag is so ezpensive. I love the look but the price is very high. I lucked into a set on a ruger years ago. Today I would probably get as much for the grips as the ruger. Some fake stag looks like it should be on a cap gun...maybe. I might have to roll the dice and get one set????????? or not. Best CR

Imis Twohofon,SASS # 46646
I won a Stag grip set as a door prize from NC Ordnance at the Tennessee State match last year. They are poly but dont look cheap. took a little fitting on my Uberti but worth it. Priced about $55 as I remember, he exchanged the set I won (other brand SAA) for $5 shipping, good customer service. He has been a sponsor for our match for several years. Dantankerous
Sambar is expensive. Elk however might be a good alternative for you. It's quite nice and many times half the price of Sambar and more easily found.
Jack Spade
I bought a set from Arizona custom grips on ebay for my 1st gen saa. The first ones they sent didn't fit right so I ended up sending them my back strap and trigger guard and they did a custom fit set. They are the magnatusk grips.
