So...Shanley taught me to cast...that went well...I enjoyed the therapy.

He taught me how to lube with the Star lubisizer...fun.

He did NOT, however, teach me how to replinish the wax in it. (And I had asked, many, many times)

The time came where the machine needed filled.

I had seen Shanley melt the wax in an old measuring cup, and fill the machine.

I thought, "how hard can that be?"

Sooooooo....plop goes some wax, into the cup...into the microwave....and STRAIGHT into the top of the lubisizer tank.

yup....I did...Straight in....

Little did I know the plunger had to come out first!!!!

(After cleaning up that mess, he doesn't hesitate to show me 'how to' anymore!)

Sounds like my sister's first husband. He spent the night one cold day at our farm, at the time we had a woodstove, the kind for cooking. Not being familiar with woodstoves he built a fire........in the oven. Needless to say the smoke didn't draw out too very good.
