The problem with Southern California is that it doesn't get cold enough to freeze the nuts out of the trees.

Or off the ground ;)

I was supposed to fly to Florida today. Apparently all the planes are stuck to the ground. Flight got canceled and bumped to Monday.

On the plus side ii got to change the chickens water and make sure they are all right

Right now in west central Florida, it is a humid 80 degrees outside my front door. Supposed to rain later on but the temp isn't supposed to change all week.

Edit, I just noticed that the thread tag states HOT....ironic.

A couple days ago the weather said it would get down to about 16. Woke up to -12. In general the weather folks don't predict what's going on in real time even if they look out the window.;)

Depending on who you ask it's 10 or 11 here, chill factor -13 and snowing. Not bad at the moment, every now and then the wind and snow pick up and snowing like crap sideways.

Minus 26 when I got up this morning.

Light snow overnight but bright sunlight right now.

Too bad my knees are in such bad shape; I'd be out snowshoeing today.

Well, the weather is nice here, but I would be willing to forego it for a better financial and political climate.

I love it...if I don't have to go out in it!!!

Shanley can think of better things to do...than crawl under the house, and see why we don't have water!!!

Melting snow on the woid stove, for flushes!!!

Do you leave your faucets run at a trickle when temps drop? That would help.

Well, we never had to lately.

Only second time for pipes to freeze in 21 years.

But...had great pressure last night...a drizzle this morning.

Hoping we don't have more than frozen pipes!!!

If you get drizzle let them run. If it’s frozen lines they will thaw.

@Singin' Sue 71615 these are just my wife's small flock plus a few bachelor roosters we let free roam. The girls have a nice coop and yard i built through rowdy roosters a safe box to hole up in for bad weateher and at night to avoid coyotes..

As a kid our incubator would live in my bedroom closet. Ever so often it'd go CHUNK as it turned the eggs and once them little idiots hatched peep peep peep peep nonstop.
