Two Spurs
When I was active on the Wire some time back I don't ever recall reading about lowered hammers for Colts/USFA's. What is being used for that? Thanks, Two Spurs
Abilene, SASS # 27489
I think Uberti hammers should work in USFA's? When they started making their own parts, they were still Uberti sized. I know Colt made low wide hammers for mounted shooters, probably not too easy to find though. Pietta?
Warden Callaway
I made a video where I tried to swap a Pietta short stroke and lowered hammer into a second generation Colt. It was close enough that with some alterations, may work. Uberti hammer won't work because Uberti are sized up and hammers swing arc from pivot to firing pin is greater. Griff
Cut & weld Montado or SBH hammers onto your Colt... among a couple of other options.
