Slim:

For the green loaders:

You put in the powder,  then the patched RB in the other end.  Make sure both caps are snug, & put a percussion cap in the slot on an endcap.
It's really a "quick-loader" for hunting -- everything in one little unit that you can clip in your breast pocket.  Convenient.

 

For the wooden RB holder:

You put the patched RB in -- friction fit--with Some of the patch-covered ball sticking out of the back.

When it comes time to put the RB in the gun.

Just put the protruding patch-covered end over the muzzle, take your short-starter, and push it right into the barrel.

 Thanks Dawg. I knew about the tubes but have never seen the wooden holder before. That's a good idea if you are going to shoot more than two, may have to make one for my 2- 50 cal flintlock pistols and percussion rifle.
