Chili Ron Posted February 9, 2021 Share Posted February 9, 2021 Howdy, I had a tooth break and dentist said crown it. So first temp crown and a few days later I notice a funny taste in my mouth. Kind of like that dried beef sandwich stuff when it gets too dry. And so just before the not so super bowl POW. the temp pops off. So I stop eating get the thing and wait to call and see the dentist. And the funny taste went away. He says he started using a NEW Glue last week and people are calling in because temps are popping off. Seems like the new stuff is ......... I talked to a friend who had the same thing last summer except his dentist had better luck with some patients. the funny taste was probably food getting trapped under the loose temp. So a heads up so to speak, odd taste could mean loose temp crown. Or even loose permanent one I guess. He said the old glue had to be mixed. The new one no mix.
