Currahee
Interesting, but I am no machinist or home hobbyist. Anybody know who could do this sort of work (how much?)?
Colorado Coffinmaker
Ok. Why?? If your rifle is correctly timed, it will literally take several Tens of Thousands of rounds before it needs attention to it's timing.

I think that's very conservative estimate if the engagement between the lever and lifter is even. The idea behind the screw was to make timing easier for the hobbyist which it does with its own downside. Some down side as seen by me a non expert. The engagement between the two moving parts is reduced to a point. Stock levers are soft steel which will equal more and quicker wear which equals an out of time rifle. This always occurs at a match with an entry in excess of $100 USD. Screws by their design are movable and it will move at the most inopportune time regardless of the crud you have applied to prevent it which equals an out of time rifle.
