Its just a different version of fractional reserve banking or paper gold.

 

They trade things that don't exist for 'money' with no intrinsic worth, only a shared belief of value.

 

Like the pet rock thing, one day a rock was worth a bunch more money than the day before and there were 'experts' who could tell you if your rock was alive.

While this sounds great on the surface keep in mind that everything rolls down hill. 

 

Yes the stock market is a house of cards; but that house of cards is comprised of individual cards. Each of those cards represent the life savings, pension, IRA, or 401K of some little guy or gal. Knocking it down will hurt the little people more than it will the people that built the house in the first place.

When we received our check, Schoolmarm handed them our debit card and when the copies of the receipt were returned to us, there was a blank space set aside for the tip.
