Depending how you “scale” them, these might fit in your collection:

I've got a 4" .500, but... it isn't 3".

Heres my 3, SW 442, Colt King Cobra and SW model 37. There’s something really cool about a snubby!

My snubbies. The semiautos are in the pictures just because  I didn't have handy individual  photos of  the Snubbies - I do not consider semiautos to be "Snubbies"

S&W 442-1 (with my old Remington RM380 - I sold it) This 442 was my first S&W revolver.

S&W 60 Pro - sold it. This gun nearly cured me of ever buying another new Smith & Wesson. S&W forgot what QC and customer service are. Cool looking gun. It was like a pretty woman. “A pretty face don’t mean a pretty heart” - Robert Palmer

$21.55 on Amazon... maybe I'll try it, just to see how it feels.

I have one of these grips. It’s called an Ergo grip. Not sure where it is right now. I bought it to see if it would help with my bad wrist. It actually does help with that, but my aim went out the window. I ended up going with Hogue Monogrips instead. Except for on my 442. It will keep the boot grip.

3 Foot, let me see if I can find that grip. It’s for S&W J frames. If I can and you want it I will send it to you gratis. Let me do some looking tomorrow. If I still have I will PM you.

Dang, I forgot a whole passel of pocket pistols.

(edit) They looked a little long in the picture, so I put a tape measure them. The "American Bulldog" third from left is about 2 5/8", the next one is 3" on the dot, the two S&W's on the right are just over the three inch mark at about 3 1/16", and the little .32 S&W on the far left is 3 1/4".  ;)

The term “snubby” or “snub nosed” has never been used in any publication, documentary, film, video or otherwise that I have ever seen or heard to refer to anything but a “snub nosed revolver”.

Showing my age:

A lot of the pictures above reminded me of Broadrick Crawford in 'Highway Patrol' and his little pistol

that he carried.

Thanks for the memories.

Seems to me that a "snubbie" or snub nosed revolver, is, well, a revolver with a short barrel.   But it is not a pocket pistol.   It is a "full size" revolver, whatever that means, with an unusually short barrel.

I will post some pics of my own such animals when I get home from work tonight.  :)

I'm going to blame it on you, Pat. while I have read a couple of novels where they mentioned a snub nose automatic, my question came simply because of your post with the pictures which included two automatics - both of which had short barrels.

I have decided now that it was simply a case of the snub nose revolver you wish to show a picture of had an automatic in the picture with it, but when I asked my question I thought you were counting them as snub noses also.

Oh no, they were just pictures I had on my phone that I had  taken. I couldn't find decent photos  of them by themselves so  I just used what I had. But I do think the S&W 442 picture with the Remington is a  really cool photo. I do have a pic of  the 442 by itself. I just like  the way that photo came out, that's  why I used it.

I edited my post above to say:

That is a Colt Detective Special. :)

I have always wanted one and finally got one (pictured above). It's at the Gunsmith getting a light primer strike issue resolved.

I have been watching the Peter Gunn series. He also carried a Colt Detective.

When I was at Sportsman's Warehouse, our buyers found a bunch of post-war alloy frame P38's, and I bought one of them. If you go that route, they developed a problem with the frame cracking so were retro fitted with a hex cross pin to prevent it. Two of the *less than 10* we got in to my store had the pin, so I picked one of them up.

I think the post-war models were designated P1 actually... I'd have to go pull it out of the safe and see how it's marked.

The ones I have been handling lately have either been that aluminum 22 or one of those titanium 32s. When I picked up that steel 357 it was just - DAYAM, THAT'S HEAVY!
