Capt Stephen D Hill, SASS #56151 29
I have decided to go from 45lc to 38's. I have a 1866 carbine in 45lc. Would like to trade for like rifle in 357/38. Now here's the kicker. I want to keep my buttstock, because it has my alias engraved on it. So, I'm looking for someone who wants to go from 38's to 45's with a similar carbine. I know it's a longshot, but who knows. This carbine I have, has a minor shortstroke with action work by Steve Young (Rossi 92 Specialist) and runs well. What have you got?? Captain Bill Burt 3,312
Are you interested in selling it without the stock? Do you know if 1873 and 1866 stocks are interchangeable?
Brazos John 227
Howdy, Captain Bill, I saw that you had 2,999 of those credits, so here's one more for an even 3,000. How many do you need to win the Cadillac? Sorry for the hijack. Y'all get back to the stock talk. Brazos

DeaconKC 2,239
Why don't you just get a replacement buttstock, swap them yourself, and then it will make a much easier trade.
T.K. 19
I swapped an 1866 uberti with my 1873 uberti buttstock which had a rubber pad on it and it fit perfectly. Also I was told 1892 and 1894 stocks are the same.
