Sorry to break it to you like this, but I've run into quite a few home grown Texas liberal jackasses in the last ten years.  Use to go years without seeing any.

Yep. They're breeding like rabbits. Still a lot of them infiltrated from the Left Coast and Northeast.

They breed in Austin uncontrollably.

Just had a call from my sister in New Braunfels.  She used some very un-sister-like words while expressing her opinion of a certain Austin professor....

Next thing that idgit will say is Israel is a rasis country, and the holocost was exagerated.

Gaslighting by "Hystoreians" who want to impress the press and gain social credit with revisionist Marxist politicos will always get front page billing in this brave new world.

Like Hardpan said they could use some reinforcements for all the lefties moving in from Silicon Valley.  Besides,   I might want to move back there one day.  But if you want solid insulation from most loonies come to Oklahoma.

There are a few "blue ponds", in an ocean of red, here. It is mostly the largest cities, where people seem to have a mindset that wants more free stuff, and wants the government to take care of you, from cradle to grave. Yep, we are getting more and more libotards, from out of state, whose companies have moved here because of the good business climate. The problem is, they bring their socialist thinking with them, and worse still, they vote that way...not understanding that the reason it is better here, is that it is not a socialist/liberal state...yet. Why they can't put 2 and 2 together, is beyond me. But the rest of the state is not that way, when you get away from the larger cities. Also, their salaries are a lot larger there than here. Therefore they can afford to buy a large, really nice home, for a faction of what they would pay where they came from. That drives up the housing market for those of us who have never made those kinds of wages. They also rankle us by making fun of the way we talk, and our conservative values. To paraphrase Hank Williams Jr's song: we go to church, we say grace, we say ma'am, if you ain't into that, we don't give a damn.

Anyone is welcome here, just leave your liberal/socialist/leftist attitude where you came from. We don't want that, we don't need that. We do just fine without that.

God, guts, and guns, made this place great...plus a leather belt on your behind, while growing up, to emphasize what is unacceptable behavior.

My first thought when the NRA announced it was moving to Texas was that they might be regretting it in another 10-20 years. Most pundits give the state ten years at most before it turns blue.

It is a very good article.

This article also proves that just because someone is educated it doesn’t mean they aren’t a dumbarse.

" Educated way beyond their intelligence" is a phrase my college professor father used frequently.

I used to point out to those who bashed California for all of its leftist problems that (at that time, 1980) only 11% of those living in California were native-born Californians.  The rest came mostly fro eastern states and the south INCLUDING TEXAS!

I was threatened, challenged to duels, told that I made up those numbers, and was an out-and-out liar.  I lost friends because of saying what was provable truth.

Suck it up, folks.  You are next.

Too little, too late.   I fought viciously for California while so many others, on both sides of the political spectrum, were content to bitch and moan and still vote for more liberals.

And, just like that liquid heavy metal, seeks the lowest strata, is quite toxic, causes dementia, and can ultimately be fatal.  -_-
