I tumble brass and nickel together with a squirt of blue dawn, a capful of turbosonic, and lemishine with ss pins. I never have discoloration of either. Running a CED tumbler. I cleaned 223 cases the other day that were so old and filthy and discolored i thought they would not come clean again ever. We dug them out of mud. 45 minutes later they look brand new. I never have tumbled more then 45 minutes and the dirtiest cases look brand new! My normal tumble time for recently fired cases to ugly dark brass is 30 minutes.
