I went to Arlington 20 years ago with two female friends. I was quite moved by the experience, but those two were completely bored and couldn't wait to leave so they could go shopping in Virginia. It's unbelievable how disconnected some people are from what really matters.

When I meet someone that chooses not to vote, I pull out a similar photograph, like the one above, and tell them this is one of the main reasons you should vote.

I had the sobering experience to be an honorary pall bearer at my former CO’s interment in 69. A 3 war vet and great leader.
