Raylan
2020 broke all records in gun sales. Charlie Harley, #14153
Happy to hear about the industry’s success. Bummed about what’s driving the demand. ( Fear) I make a motion that folks who’ve been gun owners for more than 40 years get a special dispensation to move to the head of the line to buy ammo for the guns we already have. Utah Bob #35998
Those are just traceable sales. In many states, FTF sales are legal and not recorded.

I move to amend that motion such that there are places (stages) where one can cut in line. Go to the front of the line if you have 1000 or more guns but les than 50000 round of ammunition, provided that you may cut in front of any other similar owner of 1000 or more guns. There must be similar “cut in” points for owners of 750, 500, 250, 100, 50, 25, 10 or more guns with commensurate ammunition vaults. exception being if you are a hoarder who never goes to the range.))))) I know here in Mi for years as long as you had a CPL there was no NICS check required. Then after our state voted to legalize weed the feds made the dealers start doing them again. Also if you buy multiple guns there’s still just one background check

bgavin
Interesting numbers. NRA claims 40 million background checks in 2020, but only 21 million guns sold? Does this mean there is a 50% failure rate with background checks? Here in CA, a background check at my LGS is $40. I had three on my last background check, so I saved $80 by not paying $120. DROS at my LGS is $50 each.

He even got a old “poison door” from a bank that went out of business. He told me it was filled with some sort of powder that if you tried to torch the door it would give off a gas that would make you sick . Sixgun Sheridan
I bought a gun last month and had to wait over two weeks for a background check. Here we are a week after finally being cleared and picking it up, I buy another one and have to go through the waiting period and background check all over again. You know, just in case I did something naughty in the past six days.
bgavin
If this is the case, then those new gun owners will only be buying 2 billion rounds, instead of 4 billion. 2 million 9mm cartridges will only circle the Earth 1 1/2 times instead of 3+. Darn.. where is the fun in that?

I have dreamed of a day when I am selling a car or something here in Kaleepornia and the person that buys it is a politician and I get to say... ”Okay, thank you sir (or ma’am), you can pick it up in 10 days. Cars are unsafe. They kill more people than anything else in the country. I just want to be sure this is a safe transaction.” I have made bureaucrats at work wait 10 days on things that they have needed from me. It’s fun!
