Or just file a little bit off the open end of each one. NO! Don't do this! It's a joke!!!

Kid Rich
23 hours ago, Taos said: Yesterday I loaded a dozen or so LRP in 45 Colt brass. I used 8 different brass manufactures. All of them allowed the cylinders to spin freely in my New Vaqueros. I did make sure the primer pockets were clean. The primers were not proud in the casing, flush is what I'd say. This morning I test fired them, worked like a charm! I used the same Cowboy load I've been using for years. Round 'em up! what was the brand on your lrps. kR

Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
Howdy Taos: there is no legal problem getting Large or small pistol primers or rifle primers in Canada. Stock-outs are another matter. I'll have to try a few LRPs in my .45 Colt loads to see what results I get with them in Starline, Winchester and Remington cases since I have several thousand LRPs I picked up when LeBaron went out of business. I did learn my excess Small Rifle Primers could be used in my pistol cases, so I'll have to load some 9mm and .38spl. for a trial. Good luck and think Cowboy Action Shooting for 2021!
