Hawknose Bill Posted December 27, 2020 Share Posted December 27, 2020 Got a couple of Stetsons (a 4X and a 5X) that I want to move on. Both 7 5/8, but the silverbelly is more like a 7 1/2. The silverbelly (a 5X) has seen a lot of trails, but the felt is sound. There is a moth hole (repaired) on the underside of the brim. The brown, bought from the same location at the same day, is in better shape cosmetically. It has a leather stampede string with a deer antler slide, that I made. They both have deer tracks branded onto the crown. I made the branding stamp and did it myself. I bought both of these from a western store closeout. They were 1970's new, old stock - never worn before I purchased them. Asking $40 OBO for the silverbelly, $55 for the brown. They will ship in a Stetson box for $20 each, or for $30 together. If you are in a bind and need the cash ASAP no worries at all of you want to sell the hats to Howdy Pardner. If he does Pay Pal and or lives close enough to you, feel free to sell the hats to him. Lord knows I won’t miss not having two more hats, hah! My apologies for utilizing snail mail. I was upfront and told you I did not have Pay Pal. I fully realize the reputation our mail service has earned this Holiday Season. If you decide to sell to Howdy Pardner to expedite turning the hats into cash just let me know, and if and when the check gets there just tear it up and toss it no problem. All good guy.
