I recently purchased a Coyote Cap Special Edition lever action shotgun model 1887wcse-18, and the seller mentioned that it was a "6th generation." That makes me wonder, What makes the 6th generation different than the 5th generation (or 4th or 3rd or 2nd or 1st)? And is there a particular year(s) of production for each generation?
