Utah Bob #35998 15,416
A vet up in Denver had his 100th birthday yesterday and his neighbors arranged a little parade for him. He served in Wyoming’s 115th Cavalry. They were Federalized in 1940 and served mostly along the Northwest coast during the war. Many of the opted for combat assignments. The first man ashore at Utah beach was a former 115th officer. Here’s a great photo of the 115th at Ft. Lewis Washington in ‘42. Bailey Creek,5759 117
When i was a Kid , the woman who lived next door. Tried to give my stepdad a sabor. She said it belonged to her late husband who was in the Cavalry. He never took it, often wondered what became of it.
