WTB Non-SASS; T-Tyler grip adapter; K* frame

Recommended Posts

*k frame*  If you have 1 of these laying around and want to sell it, pls let me know. This item is for a S&W model 17

square butt K frame.  I'd rather have flat black than shinny;  I don't care.  Tyler # 20B-3

Prefer used but new OK. As long as the  copper clips are there.  Thanks for looking. gr

I have these. They are plastic, look like a cheaper copy of the Tyler adapters. They have the clip inside.

Yeah, new ones "are available," I ordered one for a round butt k frame in May, still don't have it. I contacted them, got a reply in September that they were shipping, then that they had not gotten to post office, then "will send tracking number," then nothing. Sent another text today.

I hear alot of people say that but I have ordered 5 in the last 3 years and my longest wait was a month.

Totally believe you because alot of people have that happen.

I've been very lucky ☺

Just a follow up, finally got the Tyler T, yoday, 12/24. Now, I have had these before, carried a Colt Cobra 2", for years with one. Putting this one on, the fit is poor, the "high polish," isn't! Find a used one, 7 months plus wait, I'll be shopping on e-bay!

What is the reason for these, anyway? For people with small hands, large hands, what?

Yup, if you have larger hands, the older "splinter" grips are hard to hold on to. Tyler's were the standard for years for concealment guns. The company is still in business, but SLOOOOOOOW delivery and no way to contact except by emails. I have them on several vintage guns and they do help a lot.

The aftermarket grips I have on now fit like a sock on a rooster. Our sons have T-Tylers on theirs and like them.

I do, too. Checked around and heard of the looong waits from mfg'r. so, I posted here SASS and found what

fits. Tracking #s/delivery by ___/etc.  are of little use these days; imo.

If it's the look you're after, go for it. If it's to make for more comfortable shooting, you can get these Pachmayr laminated wood grips for $30.99, shipped. I just ordered a set for my M66.
