Abilene, SASS # 27489
Maybe he just walked by and saw empty shelves? Not everyone out there is aware of the ammo shortages.
Red Gauntlet , SASS 60619
I think it's just that the shelves are empty because of the rush on ammo. I drop into the local Bass about once or twice a week to check on ammo. The shelves, as such, have been basically empty for months, like with everywhere else. However, they get shipments from time to time, and over the months I've kept my .38 spl, .357 mag, .22 LR and couple others 'topped off'. They have had several other common calibers too. And-- they sell at normal retail prices. They limit to 5 boxes per caliber per customer. I got 500 .22 LR last week for $24.99- Herters, I box per customer. They usually put the shipments on rolling metal shelves; sometimes on the main shelves. While the arrivals are sporadic and not too predictable, I've run into supplies several times. They seem to be getting a leetle bit more regular, and larger. Of course, in my case it's easy-- I'm retired, and Bass is in my city, so I can do the drop-ins. Lazy Eeyour
It could be they hold some back so when they sell a pistol you get a box 50/100 rounds with the pistol
Cholla Bob
Probably moving it to an end cap so they don't have a bunch of empty shelf space.
