LL Oh, c'mon. You know it's just a matter of perspective. How you look at it. Best example was Roy Scheider in JAWS. Richard Dreyfus' character remarked he thought it was crazy that a man who lived on an island didn't know how to swim. Scheider replied, "It's only an island if you look at it from the water." Always liked that line.

For me, David Soul, Linda Christian, Don Johnson and Sophia Loren are all in their 30's in my memory - and I'd like to keep them there. When someone shows me a current pic of someone who was a favorite of mine 40 or 50 years ago, but who i have not seen in a long while, it kinda destroys that idealized image. I prefer the view from the island. LL
Pat Riot
I’m with Loophole on this. I had someone offer me tickets to see Peter Frampton at some Indian Casino up north. At first I was like “Hell Yeah! I would love to see Peter Frampton.” Then I saw a picture of him... I passed. I want to remember my rock and roll stars as they were when they were my rock and roll stars. Not geriatric old men going through the motions of being 25 again. Choctaw Jack
Went to a Gordon Lightfoot concert couple of years ago.Small auditorium, completely sold out.A frail looking, withered old guy with a guitar walked out with an oxygen tank in tow.The crowd was still expecting the headliner.Didn't recognize him until he started singing.Thought to myself "How sad".Then I looked around at the rest of the audience and thought , Doesn't look too different from the rest of us. Carry on ,Gordon!
Tex Jones, SASS 2263
I saw Frank Sinatra at a show in the Garden State Arts Center (New Jersey) in 1994, at the end of his singing career. The delivery was there, but the songs didn't come out the way they used to. It didn't bother the crowd though, lots of then middle aged folks thought he was terrific. Widder, SASS #59054
If I remember correctly, Hutch carried the 6" Python (blue, of course). I think Starchy carried a S&W 9mm (maybe model 59) but also may have used another 9mm during the series. ..........Widder
