Calvin N. Hobbes, 17218
This is a 22.73 gram 10K gold nugget/ingot. I personally melted down my 10K gold ring, removed the impurities, and left the 10K gold in nugget form. Todays 10K gold spot price is 24.41 per gram. This nugget weighs 22.73 grams so is valued at $554.83. I will sell, shipped, for $485. Perfect size for jewelry, projects, or barter in the upcoming apocalypse. PayPal insured, Certified MO, Bank Check.
Assassin
You been digging up dead people again. It'd take quite a few teeth to get that much gold.

Springfield Slim SASS #24733
I had a jeweler do that to my first wedding ring, and had him add a loop to it. Wore it for a few years after that to remind me not to rush into that situation again.

Springfield Slim SASS #24733
I still have my High School ring, and I mentioned to my son yesterday if I should sell it for the gold. Might check on that today. Or maybe just get it melted.

Upon dissolving my first attempt at marital bliss I sold my ring to a jeweler and went across the street to the likker store where I invested that money in beer. Lots of it. I drove to a friend's, called more buddies, and we had a fun time celebrating my escape. Free bump for a neat item.

A friend of mine worked at a courthouse and said every day he would check the trash for wedding rings and engagement rings. Used to joke he didn't need a paycheck...
