Warden Callaway
I've "smoothed up" (not slicked up) both 60s. I went over the moving parts with hones. I didn't find any egregious burrs or shavings, etc. They were about par for new revolvers - including new Colt SAAs. I thought of making a video of the process I go through with new handguns. But Mike Beliveau aka Duelist1954 aka Bottom Dealing Mike already has excellent video on the subject. I use much the same set of tools and procedures. I don't make any alterations to the parts. I leave in the stock heavy springs with the belief they go a long way to provide reliable cap firing and function by keeping the hammer face on the cap when the charge goes off. I did stretch the hand just a little on one to improve the timing. The bolt was popping up a little too soon. Lightly oiled with Mobil 1.
