I saw this is a pawn shop today for $699.00 used, it's $997.00 retail. I may go back and get this! 3 mags with it too!

Go get it, Rye.  Early Christmas present.

I’m going to go back Friday for sure. No box but that’s okay.

Good price

great gun.

Have 2, one is a full size stainless like this one but my serrations are straight diagonal rather than scalloped. The other is a Sc (scandium) version in commander size with laser grips, very light but a little snappy when shooting it. Both feed anything and are very accurate.

Regards

I recall the first 1911 (colt) I bought cost me like $45. The shop owner said it was used but it looked new to me.

My first one was a Lightweight Commander, and I gave $250 hard earned dollars for it.  1984.  Wish I still had that gun.

Got my first personal 1911 in 1958. Had one in the Air Police but they wouldn't let me take it home.

Good on ya, Rye~!  ^_^

'Twas an act of kindness on your part....

The poor thing was the only handgun the pawn shop had. :(

They sold all their guns in a month back in April and they had quite a few!

Looks like a nice find! I remember signing out M1911s from the MP unit co-located with my Ordnance unit at our remote site back in the 80's in Germany for Pay Officer duties...you could shake those pistols and everything would rattle and clank around inside those things!

I used to think I didn't need a 1911. And now I'm pretty sure one can't have too many 1911s...

Looks like it (you) shot pretty good. One question though....what are those blinds and window made out of? They held up amazingly well.

Those were 'Cowboy 1911 loads'.   They're only required to make a ding and/or penetrate 1 piece of 80# paper.

Yeah, but what poundage of a recoil spring do you use with that load?
