They are harder to ignite and don't deform as much as others from gas pressure. There isn't any recoil to force the case against the recoil shield to remove the bulge. On a Vaquero the cylinder won't rotate after firing one using Remington 209 primers. You have to remove the cylinder to remove the fired case.
