Injun Ryder, SASS #36201L Posted November 21, 2020 Share Posted November 21, 2020 True story: I worked for an international engineering/construction firm that designed refineries, chemical plants, etc. One job in Asia required that a certain percentage of the equipment be locally sourced. One company that we contracted with purchased thousands of threaded plugs made from an expensive exotic alloy from a local firm. The company sent them a schematic and description of the threaded plug. What they manufactured were thousands of these 2 inch plugs with concentric grooves machined into them, not threads!
