Cliff Hanger #3720LR
Mild steel targets are cheaper, initally. In short time, they become far more expensive because of the necessity of replacement. Then there is the splatter factor that causes injury back behind the firing line. Colorado Coffinmaker
Good photographic examples of why mild steel make really lousy targets.

DeaconKC
We used to have mild steel plates with cork over them for the cellhouse catwalks to use for shotgun warning shots. Two of them had about 2' holes in them when someone forgot and used a Mini 14 on them. Mercy Sakes, that was LOUD! Ps, this is East House, where I worked for 7 years
