I'd lean toward staying mobile  and "off the grid".  A 40' catamaran would be about right.  Island hop through the Caribbean, then push offshore and start sailing East, in an irregular pattern.

Why a catamaran instead of a sloop?  Having never sailed a large cat, I'm not sure I'd trust it if the sea picked up.

Actually, I made a pact with myself to never get myself into a position where I could go to prison.
Well, so far I haven’t been caught doing anything that could land me there but bank robbery is always available if my retirement ever disappears. 
If I am good at it and lucky I might make enough to live a while. 
If I am not so good at it or get unlucky then I will have a roof over my head and three meals a day and a definite time frame to work with to plan my next escapade when I get out...if I get out.
