I guess in nature little tits don’t grow into great tits.

Years ago I read about the Tustin Institute of Technology, run by Wayne Tustin.

Wayne has passed on, but many TIT graduates are out there!

I've heard of "the world turned upside down", but "the world turned sideways"?

Sorry about that.

My feeder at the cabin after only a day of having seed.

I've got a bunch of little grey birds like those that visit my feeder daily. They'll land on the feeder even if a Cardinal or Blue Jay are there, they'll grab a seed, and be gone. The Jays are pushy and loud, but even they leave when the woodpecker lands. Cardinals will push other cardinals away, if not from their own family. I like the little grey birds the best.

Titmice and chickadees hang out together. The creepers come in a couple at a time. Nuthatches too. The Cardinals were on the ground, the woodpecker was on the suet and the jays were stealing the deer corn. There was a flock of turkeys in the yard when I came in from my blind this morning. Saw an eagle earlier and two flocks of swans headed south.
